Door deliveryWhat "Door-to-Door" Actually Means
We want to be upfront: "door-to-door" means our driver gets as close to your provided addresses as legally and safely permitted. In most cases, that means right in front of your home or business.
Large auto transport carriers — typically 75+ feet long — need adequate space to maneuver. In the vast majority of neighborhoods, this is never an issue. But in certain situations, the driver may need to stop a short distance away for safety reasons.
We always coordinate with you in advance so you're never caught off guard. If there's a potential issue with your street, your driver will call 24–48 hours before pickup to discuss alternatives — usually just meeting at the end of the street or a nearby parking lot.
When we do run into a restriction, we always find a solution nearby — and we always communicate proactively. You'll never be left guessing.
When Access May Be Limited
These situations are uncommon, but when they do come up, we always have a plan. Here's what can restrict direct access — and exactly how we handle it.
Transport trucks need room to maneuver and turn around safely. Very narrow cul-de-sacs or single-lane streets may not allow a large carrier to fit.
Enclosed carriers sit 13+ feet tall. Low branches, power lines, or overhead utility cables can prevent safe entry into certain driveways or roads.
Some residential roads, bridges, or neighborhood access roads have posted weight limits that a fully loaded transport truck legally cannot exceed.
Some gated neighborhoods restrict commercial vehicle access or require advance authorization. Without access, the driver can't enter the community.
Active roadwork, closed lanes, or temporary detours around your area may block carrier access on your scheduled pickup day.
Steep inclines, unstable ground, or high-traffic areas where stopping poses a safety risk to the driver, your vehicle, or others nearby.
Before every pickup, your assigned driver will contact you 24–48 hours in advance. If there are any access concerns with your address, we resolve them together before the day arrives. Our goal is zero surprises, start to finish.
Every Situation Covered
Whether you're in a big city, a quiet suburb, or a rural area — we have experience navigating every type of location.
Busy city blocks, apartments, and downtown locations are handled daily. We know how to work within city parking rules and traffic.
Most suburban streets are door-to-door with zero issues. We pull right up and load from your driveway or curb in most cases.
Gravel roads, unpaved lanes, and remote addresses may need a meet point at a nearby highway or public road — and that's totally fine.

Your Questions, Answered
Answers to the questions we hear most about door-to-door shipping — or reach out to our team directly.
No problem. If the carrier can't safely access your street, we'll meet at the nearest open location — typically the end of your street, a parking lot, or a wide intersection. Your driver will coordinate this with you before arrival. In most cases, it's just a quick short drive.
Yes, you or a designated representative should be present to inspect the vehicle, sign the Bill of Lading, and hand over the keys at pickup — and receive them at delivery. This protects you. If you absolutely can't be there, someone with your written authorization can step in.
Door-to-door is typically slightly more expensive than terminal-to-terminal because of the added convenience and the driver's time. That said, when you factor in the hassle of driving to and from a terminal — plus potential terminal storage fees — most customers find door-to-door is well worth it.
Just let your community gate know in advance that a transport vehicle will be arriving on a specific date. Alternatively, meet the driver at the community entrance — it's a quick handoff and takes about 5 minutes. Let us know about gated access when you book and we'll plan around it.
Your assigned driver will typically call 24–48 hours before the scheduled pickup to confirm timing and address details. On the day of pickup, they'll call again when they're about an hour away so you can be ready.
Absolutely. We can pick up from homes, businesses, dealerships, storage facilities, auctions, or any other address. Just provide the address when booking and we'll handle the rest.
